LIGHT: Itʻs time to Lighten UP

You are love and light in action. Itʻs easy to forget that sometimes. Fear is heavy. Love is light. Fear creates the illusion of darkness which seems very real at the time. When we train ourselves to recognise Fear, we also train ourselves to turn on our Light.

When we learn how to do this, we can also show others. Our light shines so theirs can.

Light isnʻt the domain of Healers and Practitioners – we can all be Light for each other. Often we tend to think of “light” as one light that shines within us. Light is made up of strands. It isnʻt one light that shines, but strands of many Lights.

When you work on your Light to make it clear and pure in every relationship and situation, it vibrates at a level that attracts another strand of Light to it. Light is vibration of pure energy. Pure energy is unencumbered by pōhaku/stones or what we might call our baggage.

Baggage comes from our Past and doesnʻt belong in our Future. Our Teaching: the Past + the Present = The Future confirms it for us. This Teaching means we must take on the challenge of doing our inner work, really committing to it, and being prepared for unlikely revelations that might take us by surprise, rattle us and threat to destabilise our lives (and our progress).

Taking on the challenge means putting yourself under the microscope and examining every aspect of your life. Every segment. Every Relationship. It means getting clear on what you say you stand for. It is about integrity, Truth.

All of us need to relearn how to be Truthful at this level – thatʻs the power of pōhaku and the influence of the Kolohe and Kepalo. To be Truthful at every level in every moment 24/7. If that is Truthful - are you Truthful?

Hana/the work is continuous. No-one is exempt from it. It is work that is done round the clock every day of our lives. To be Truthful is an aspiration of Physical Life. Every moment we encounter both the potential for Truth and the potential for Untruth...half-truthful, sort of Truthful, sometimes Truthful, mostly Truthful is all Untruth!

☝🏽 Think about it right now: are you Truthful in every moment, including this one right now, in every second that passes?

That seems like a giant mountain, impassable and impossible. Yet Spirit and Spiritual Living is all about what is possible. Possible is the domain of potential. Potential is the domain of Light. Light is a vibration of Energy. Because it is vibrational, it must be at the level of Pure Light.

This Energy has a name. We call it Aloha. The Energy of Unconditonal Love. It is the driving force of the Universe. It carries the strands of Light of those who have made it up the Mountain. As well as those who are making their way up there.

Every step we take up the Mountain is one more step into what is possible for us. Imagine if my Light attracted your Light. We stood side by side. Imagine how much Light Energy we would be shining. Then imagine another Light joins us. Now we have 3 strands of Light Energy. Imagine a 4th, 5th, 6th person saw our collective Light shining and comes to stand with us.

We would all be many strands of Light standing together. Making our way up the Mountain. Helping each other. Raising each other up. Making sure no-one gets left behind. Perservering when the going gets tough, helping each other to find our way through it all. Helping each other to find the joy and radiance so we donʻt take it so seriously that it becomes a weight, a Pohaku/a baggage.

Our Kūpuna know this journey. Theyʻre making it too. The Ancestors have all made it. We are all their collective Aloha. We know that because we are here...We all carry their Light of Aloha. Thatʻs why Light isnʻt just one light but the Light of Many.

The Ancestors understood this. Thatʻs why we have Teachings, Stories, Chants, Dances, Arts, Crafts, Healing Modalities, Language, Ceremony and Protocols to help us learn and find our way.

These ARE the containers of Light.

Which is why we have preserved them in our Lineage – so you can learn them too. And shine...

So how to do it?

It can start with doing your Healing and getting into those dark corners and places you donʻt want to go:

▶ Lomilomi – is a spiritual healing method that feels like physical massage, or bodywork, but it is working at a whole other level. It addresses the physical – stress, tiredness, overwhelm, injury and so on – at the same time as it working at the level of Spirit, the Ancestors, our Spiritual Guardians. This is often the entry point for those for whom Hawaiian Healing Modalities feels helpful.

▶ Hoʻoponopono goes in deep and like an arrow hits itʻs target. It is about breaking through the layers of stories and the entanglements that go with it. Weʻre looking for the pohaku, the stone, the baggage, the things that are weighing you down. Weʻre stalking it, peeling back the layers of the years and the experiences until we find it. Itʻs deep, itʻs powerful, and you will walk a new path after it.

▶ Lāʻua ka Pule is another hands on healing modality. The Teachings say Prayer is the medicine and you experience it through energetic healing forms. Not sure what I mean, maybe youʻre more familar with Reiki, Crystals, Sound Healing, Essences, Aromas – think along those lines and you will understand more about hands on healing in our system of healing.

▶ You can book in for a Healing Conversation – an exploration of whatʻs happening in your life, discussing it, teasing it all out, coming up with ways to navigate through it, getting your next step.

▶ You can also join a course through the Hālau and the SoHAD School. The Hālau foundation course that introduces the Teachings of our Lineage is the Path to Paʻa. Itʻs the first stage for all our Practitioner Level Courses too.

▶ Or, you might like to be in a more informal learning space – the Hawaiian Studies Club meets twice/ month. Low cost, informal, like-minds, structured yet organic.

▶ As well, you can explore your Spiritual Intelligence – these are self-paced options to take it all at your own pace. The foundation of these courses is our Hawaiian Teachings, so you get to learn a little about them too.

▶ The SoHAD has courses in Indigenous Welsh Spirituality – thatʻs the Teachings of the Welsh Druids. And from time to time we have pop-up classes and talks in things like Sensory Awareness, Focussing, Meditation. Joining the Community mailing list is the place to be to know when these are on.
