ISSUES - Is not doing the Issue, the Issue?

Identify and face your issues. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but how many times do you want to travel the same road?

Letʻs be straight up – the Pain Bin isnʻt the type of Lucky Dip we want to dive into. But the truth of the matter is, thatʻs where the Lucky Prize is buried.

Under layers and layers of pain. The pain starts out as protection against hurt, real hurt, perceived hurt, the threat of hurt, imagined hurt. Hurt that we donʻt want to experience or re-experience. We want that done. We want to just move on from that Sucker.

We tell ourselves we want to be free of it – and we do. But freedom comes not at a price, but at the point of commitment. Commitment takes us into completely different territory.

When we make a commitment we know itʻs binding. We can feel it. We can throw it down as a challenge and say “Iʻm up for it”. But you know what…

…thatʻs part of the problem. Itʻs another layer of protection because behind that, thereʻs another layer of story, which means another layer of protection.

With every “challenge” thereʻs a layer of Fear that comes with it. As I always say in my sessions, classes and writings – when we get to the bottom of Fear, then we are prepared and ready to step up to the line.

Did you catch that keyword?

Preparation. We have to be prepared for Fear. Thatʻs what Healing is about. Disentangling the layers of Fear. Layer by layer. In our Teachings the whole Universe is layers and levels. Weʻre part of the Universe, which means weʻre layered too.

We have a layer that is free, spacious, aligned, unencumbered. In our Teachings we have a name for it. We call it being Paʻa – having a strong, unshakeable Foundation. But this too is layered. And as we learn and apply the Teachings, we lay down more layers. More layers takes us to different levels of Beingness.

All of it arises from doing the hana/the work to strip back the layers of Protection that most probably started out as ways to cope and feel safe.

Each time we step up to a layer of Fear, we take a step closer to being on what we call in our Teachings, the Line of Truth.

Getting there takes time, patience and plenty of Aloha – unconditional love for yourself. And sometimes, getting to that first level of Aloha - unconditional love for yourself – is uncomfortable.

Because it means you have to be accepting of yourself – all your bad decisions, the embarrassing things youʻve done, the hurt and harm youʻve done to yourself and others, the lies, fabrications and other stories…all of it.

To get there is a really big step. The process of getting there can be frustrating at times. Often folks get through a few layers and decide “thatʻs enough, Iʻm happy where I am…” and just as often, thatʻs not the Truth either. Thatʻs just another layer of Protection from the exhaustion of “whatʻs next?”.

What am I going to uncover next?

The Pain Bin feels like the Lucky Dip that just keeps on giving. Accept that. Accept that there might be lots to uncover. And each time you uncover, you come to another layer of understanding yourself better.

Understanding yourself is the ONLY way to get to Aloha, for yourself and others. You canʻt Aloha another if you canʻt do it for yourself. REALLY DO IT. Not just the words. The world is full of people who have half-done their healing, and full of half-done words. Theyʻre still in the Pain Bin.

Imagine if they did go the whole way. Imagine if You did…how different would you be? How different would the world be? Youʻre part of the world. The world needs you to be fully you. What greater gift can you give at this time than to be You…

The pieces will slot together eventually. Patience is part of Aloha. You will have new ground from which to live. Things need to change shape before they take the shape…Aloha, Kumu Paʻa Julia Nālani x🌺❤️

WHAT DO DO NEXT:

Your inner work - hereʻs how I can help you get out of the Pain Bin and into where you want to go:

Work with Me:

LOMILOMI SESSION: before every Lomilomi Session we have a good talk. Come regularly - and Iʻm not saying every week because doing the work takes time - and youʻll see how the shifts are happening. Kukakuka/Talking Story before Lomilomi is how Lomilomi is traditionally done. Then when you get on the table, the Lomilomi does its work, moving the stagnate energy out and replenishing. All you have to do is receive.

HOʻOPONOPONO SESSION: you can do this in the Healing Studio or Online. This is the real, Traditional Process. We work slowly, bit by bit to excavate what we call POHAKU or stones, you and I might call it Baggage. You come to a level of understanding, youʻre able to find forgiveness, and forgiveness, to truly forgive and understand what that means, is the release youʻre looking for.

HEALING CONVERSATION: not ready for Hoʻoponopono or it doesnʻt resonate with you. Check in for a Healing Conversation. We will talk story. you will come to a level of understanding, and have some actions to take as well. This one can be done online and itʻs good to do it regularly.

JOIN MY PATH TO PAʻA COURSE: you donʻt have to be a Practitioner or Practitioner in Training to join it. This Course is chock-full of our Foundation Teachings for life. You learn them AND you learn how to put them into Practice in your own specific situation. Go on over the School Page right here: School Page

JOIN THE MAILING LIST: for your free Spirituality Magazine. It has a collection of helpful articles usually around a theme. Comes out every 2nd Month: Join Free Magazine List and then scroll to the bottom to add your deets.
